24-hour cancellation and no-show policy

Wellness Genesis values your time and its own, so please provide cancellation notice at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to avoid forfeiting a full session credit. No-shows will also result in the loss of a session credit. Wellness Genesis wants to ensure that each session is planned and prepared exclusively for you.

How do I get started?

Simply reach out to Wellness Genesis to share your health and wellness goals. Wellness Genesis will create a personalized plan to help you achieve them. While administration and bookings are online, Wellness Genesis is available by phone, text, and email during business hours to answer any questions. If you’re new to Wellness Genesis and want dedicated guidance, feel free to schedule an introductory private session to discuss your goals and concerns one-on-one.

How long are the sessions?

Each session at Wellness Genesis is 50 minutes long, followed by a 10-minute break for sanitizing surfaces and preparing for the next class. This helps minimize the number of people in the studio at one time.

What should I wear? What about jewelry?

Wellness Genesis recommends that you wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement, such as yoga pants or joggers and a fitted tank top or T-shirt. Socks are required—regular, non-slip, yoga, or grippy socks are all acceptable. For safety, please remove all jewelry, including rings, earrings, and necklaces, before class.

How often should I do pilates?

The ideal Pilates practice at Wellness Genesis is 2-3 times per week. Start with one session per week and add more as you can. The more sessions you do each week, the faster you’ll see results.

How long until I see changes in my body from Pilates?

With regular sessions at Wellness Genesis, you’ll notice improved strength and posture in less than a month. Everyone’s body is different, but committing to weekly Pilates will bring positive changes. As Joseph Pilates said, ‘In ten sessions, you’ll feel the difference, in twenty you’ll see the difference, and in thirty you’ll have a new body.’

What is your approach to diversity and studio space policy?

Wellness Genesis provides a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment for all clients. Mutual respect among clients and staff is expected, both in the studio and in public. Any disrespectful behavior may result in a ban from future sessions. Thank you for helping Wellness Genesis support its diverse community.

What is your approach to equity and inclusion and the Americans with disabilities act (ADA)?

Wellness Genesis believes that everyone deserves access to physical fitness, regardless of limitations. The studio includes several ADA-compliant features to assist with access and participation:
1. Stair/step free entry
2. ADA compliant restrooms
3. Adequate spacing on walkways and hallways
4. Open accessibility throughout the studio

Under what circumstances does the studio cancel a session?

Wellness Genesis may cancel a session under the following circumstances:
1. If a teacher is unexpectedly sick and no substitute is available
2. In the event of severe weather (e.g., blizzards)
3. If no one is signed up for the session 2 hours before the start time

If a session you are booked into needs to be canceled, Wellness Genesis will notify you via phone, text, or email as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

What happens when a teacher is substituted?

If Wellness Genesis needs to substitute a teacher, we will inform you of planned substitutions at least 2 weeks in advance. For emergency substitutions due to illness or other issues, we will notify clients via email before the class. Please note that we cannot guarantee a specific teacher; your reservation is for the class and location, not the teacher. Therefore, we do not offer refunds or cancellations for teacher substitutions.

Can I bring a pet or service animal into the studio?

Pets are not allowed in our studios, but service animals are welcome. If you plan to bring a service animal, please inform Wellness Genesis at least 15 minutes before your session due to potential allergies of other clients. Thank you for your understanding!

What are your covid-19 safety policies and precautions?

Wellness Genesis implements safety measures to protect against infectious diseases and appreciates your cooperation. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or any infectious disease, please stay home.

Our cleaning procedures include:
1. Using and washing towels once
2. Deep cleaning each studio nightly
3. Providing sanitizer stations throughout the studio

4. Using cleaning products compliant with CDC disinfectant guidelines

What is your billing process?

To secure services at Wellness Genesis, a 50% initial deposit is required, with the final 50% payment due 24 hours before your scheduled session.

Packages must be paid in full 24 hours before the first session. For new clients who have not completed a package, there is an option to cancel the package after the first lesson, with the individual session fee applied.


If you enjoyed your session, new sign-ups can credit their first single session fee toward a package.

What is your package renewal process?

Packages at Wellness Genesis do not renew automatically. You can reach out to Wellness Genesis to purchase your next package before your current sessions are used up, or you have the option to purchase multiple packages ahead of time. Please note that package expiration is based on the date of your first session, not the purchase date.

What is your late arrival policy?

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for your session at Wellness Genesis. Arriving late can be harmful due to missed warm-up. If you are 15 minutes late, you will not be admitted and will be marked as a no-show, subject to no-show policies. Thank you for understanding.

What are your re-schedule, cancellation and no-show policies for sessions?

Once you book a session at Wellness Genesis, your spot is reserved. We have a 24-hour change/cancellation policy. Re-schedules or cancellations within 24 hours of the session start are not allowed and will be counted as late cancellations. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full session fee or deducted from your account credit.

Do I have to follow the class being taught? Can I workout on my own?

Wellness Genesis offers guided workouts led by certified instructors. To ensure safety and reduce the risk of injury, you must follow the instructor’s guidance and modifications. You may not use our equipment before or after your session without the instructor’s guidance. During the session, you must follow the exercises and modifications provided by the instructor. Personal activities or modifications are not allowed unless explicitly approved by the instructor. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in a request to leave the session and potential decline of future bookings.

What is your pregnancy/prenatal policy?

Wellness Genesis is happy to offer private sessions for pregnant clients, where the instructor can tailor your Pilates practice to your specific needs. However, due to the extra attention and modifications required, Wellness Genesis cannot accommodate pregnant clients in duet sessions without prior agreement. Please contact Wellness Genesis to discuss.

What is your liability waiver policy?  

All purchases and session participation at Wellness Genesis require a signed liability waiver. You can sign it upon entering the studio or request an advance copy by emailing [email protected].

What is your refund policy?

No refunds are provided unless a class is canceled by Wellness Genesis.

Can I transfer or share my session packages with someone else?

All packages are non-transferable and can only be redeemed by the original purchaser.

What is your lost item policy? 

Wellness Genesis is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Unclaimed items will be kept in our lost and found area for 45 days before being donated or disposed of.

What is your online account policy? 

Clients may only have one online account with Wellness Genesis. Multiple accounts by the same client will be consolidated, and any packages or sessions in the second account may be forfeited. We conduct regular audits of client accounts.

What is your pricing and sales policy? 

Wellness Genesis reserves the right to change pricing and restrict the availability of memberships and special offers. Wellness Genesis also reserves the right to refuse sales to any client for reasons including sharing accounts, purchasing multiple new client specials, abusing membership or package options, failing to pay cancellation fees, or at our discretion.

What is your photos and videos policy? 

Before taking photos or videos at Wellness Genesis, ensure no other clients are included unless you have their express permission. Photos or videos taken in the studio cannot be used for the promotion or marketing of unauthorized services or for any commercial reason. Wellness Genesis reserves the right to seek compensatory damages for unauthorized use.
