Welcome to our Online Group Alexander Technique Lie Down Classes—a restorative and meditative experience that invites you to reconnect with your body’s natural alignment, ease, and sense of grounding through the principles of the Alexander Technique. These guided lie-down sessions are simple yet deeply impactful, making them accessible for everyone regardless of age or experience.
What to Expect
In each class, you’ll be gently guided through a process of lying down in semi-supine—a supported and neutral resting position that allows your body to release unnecessary tension and recalibrate toward balance.
During the guided lie-down session, you will:
- Find a quiet space where you can comfortably lie down on the floor.
- Place a book or folded towel under your head to support your neck.
- Rest your feet flat on the floor, with your knees bent and pointing up.
- Follow verbal guidance that helps you direct awareness to your body, breath, and environment.
- Notice how your sensory awareness increases as you let go of effort and settle into support.
This is not a stretching class or a workout—it is a space to listen, observe, and allow your body and mind to settle. Each session fosters awareness, clarity, and a gentle reorganization of your posture and movement habits.
